Trusted Traveler Programs

CBP's Trusted Traveler Programs provide expedited travel for pre-approved, low risk travelers through dedicated lanes and kiosks.  Recently introduced program to ease the boarding process, preapproved travelers, special lanes at security check points.  Exit and Entry

Many frequent travelers, both for business and pleasure have been looking for something like this for years. Those long, slow lines of unaccustom travelers can make you pull your hair out, tire you out before you even see the door of the plane. Ending stressful waiting in line and speedier boarding is finally a recognized goal of the United States Government.

And now moving into Foreign Air Carriers
Air Canada passengers now are eligible for the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck program at U.S. airports, according to TSA. The airline is the first non-U.S. participant in the expedited security screening program and "TSA is working with additional international carriers."

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Though intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program. Participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at select airports.

At airports, program participants proceed to Global Entry kiosks, present their machine-readable passport or U.S. permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and make a customs declaration. The kiosk issues the traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit.

Travelers must be pre-approved for the Global Entry program. All applicants undergo a rigorous background check and interview before enrollment.
While Global Entry's goal is to speed travelers through the process, members may be selected for further examination when entering the United States.
